Bojan Krkic made everyone in Barcelona take notice of him as the Spanish forward broke Lionel Messi’s record of being the youngest player of the Catalan to be featured in La Liga match. When Bojan played for the youth academy of Barcelona, he made a name for himself by scoring over 850 goals during his time playing in the youth teams. It did not take long for him to sign a professional contract with the main squad of Barcelona and join the senior team.
After progressing to the senior team of Barcelona, his impact could never really be felt as he was usually being overlooked by other players such as: David Villa, Lionel Messi, Pedro and other players.
Barcelona eventually decided to release Bojan Krkic to As.Roma and Ac.Milan on loan deals with the option of the Italian club signing him on a permanent basis but neither of the clubs agreed to sign him permanently as Bojan could never really make his presence be felt in any of those teams.
Stoke City was willing to pay €1.8 million in order to sign Bojan Krkic on a full ownership deal and even though he still has not scored a goal with the Premier League club, Mark Hughes is confident that Bojan will play a key role for Stoke City.
Mark Hughes said: "We are coming off the back of two away games at the moment. He is better served playing in the home games. It's not that he's excluded from away games in certain ones he will certainly be involved.
"But it's early days. He's going to be here for a long time. He has signed a long-term contract and is just starting here. We want to make sure that when he does take part he is going to have a big impact. It might not happen initially but over the course of this season he will be key for us. Given the quality we see in training, he is an exceptional footballer."
Hughes is a fan of Bojan and what he can offer to Stoke City but the Spanish forward still has not made a big difference in the Premier League club and is only being used mostly as a back-up option, in the sidelines of the squad.
