NO PANIC

Andres Iniesta has said that his Barcelona teammates shouldn’t panic despite a couple of defeats in the last few days.

Barcelona’s performance in their last couple of games has been disastrous. They have suffered competitive defeats against Ajax Amsterdam and Athletic Bilbao respectively.

One can understand Barcelona’s defeat against Ajax as the Dutch side has got some quality, but, very few people would have expected them to lose against Athletic Bilbao.

However, Iniesta reckons that everything is alright and panic shouldn’t creep in the Barcelona camp.

The Spaniard was talking to the reporters yesterday. When he was asked if the confidence level of his side has gone down because of those two defeats, he said, “No, I don’t think so. It was just a couple of bad days. We don’t need to start panicking because of that. The confidence level of the guys is still the same.”

“Things do even out at some point of time. You just can’t win all the games. But, whenever you lose, you need to learn from that. You need to make sure that you don’t commit the same kind of mistakes in the next game or in the games after that.”

“I don’t think we have played badly in the last couple of matches. It’s just that there are some days when everything goes wrong for you. Not because you are lacking quality. It’s just because it’s not your day.”

Meanwhile, there is some good news for the Barcelona fans. Their superstar Lionel Messi who has been out of action since the last few weeks has started light training. He is currently in his country Argentina.
The Barcelona management would be hoping that Messi returns soon as he has been missed quite a lot in the recent games.
Messi has made just 16 appearances for Barcelona in the ongoing season.
