Iniesta Reveals That Neymar Still Desires To Play With Messi

Former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has revealed that it remains a desire for Neymar to play with Lionel Messi, amid the Argentine superstar being linked with a move away from the Camp Nou. Lionel Messi may be triggering a bidding war amongst clubs if he chooses to quit Barcelona at the end of the season after he ended up remaining at the club following a failed attempt to leave the Catalan giants last summer.

“Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar's current club, are one of the few clubs that have been credited with an interest in the forward and according to several reports, the Argentine captain could choose to move to the Parc des Princes if he eventually leaves Barca - a move that would gladden Brazilian superstar Neymar.

According to Iniesta, who played with the duo at Barcelona, Neymar is still very much interested in playing alongside Messi whether for Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain. The former Barca man said Neymar would not mind moving back to Barca to link up once more with Messi, and that he would also not mind having Messi join him at PSG. Neymar's teammate Kylian Mbappé is also a reported target of Barcelona's direct rivals Real Madrid and if Florentino Perez could convince the France international attacker to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, it could pave the way for Paris Saint-Germain to sign Messi as his replacement.

“Manchester City are the other club that have been identified as a possible Lionel Messi destination if he leaves Spain this summer as he would reportedly also not mind reuniting with his former manager Pep Guardiola. The City boss was tight-lipped when he was asked if his side are interested in Messi but reports claim they really are interested.
