Andres Iniesta has hailed his compatriot Jesus Navas and has said that not many players in the Premier League can match his speed and strength.
Navas has recently signed for the Premier League club Manchester City after leaving Sevilla. The transfer fee paid by City for buying him is rumoured to be around 14.9 million Pounds.

Navas played for Sevilla for 10 years between 2003 and 2013. He proved to be a real match winner for them. He featured for them in a total of 284 games and found the net 23 times.

Apart from club football, Navas has an impressive record in international football too. He has put up quite a few brilliant performances for his national side Spain in his brief international career.

Talking about Navas, Iniesta said, “He is a high quality player. There are not too many players in the world who are quicker than him. He is going to give defenders some headaches in the Premier League.”

“Jesus has got such tremendous speed that if you want to stop him, you will have to foul him. You can’t stop him otherwise.”

“Manchester City has done very well to sign him. He is going to win them a lot of games; that’s for sure.”
“The only player who can match Jesus as far as the speed is concerned is Gareth Bale.”

There have been speculations that Iniesta’s current club Barcelona will give him a contract extension soon.

When asked about that, Iniesta said, “The manager hasn’t talked to me about the contract extension yet, so, I can’t tell you anything right now. As far as I am concerned, I would love to sign a new deal. I don’t want to finish my career at any other club. I want to do it at Barcelona only.”
