Barcelona has defeated Levante UD in a La Liga match played on Sunday. Barca won the match by a big margin of 4-0. This was the 12th victory for Barcelona in the ongoing La Liga. With this victory, Barcelona managed to maintain its top position in the points table. Barcelona is three points ahead of Atletico Madrid which is at no. 2 in the points table.

Andres Iniesta was the stand out performer for Barcelona in the match against Levante. He contributed in every goal scored by Barcelona in that match. He set up a couple of goals for Lionel Messi and then, assisted a goal for Cesc Fabregas. Iniesta himself also found the net once and secured the thumping victory of Barca.
In the post match press conference, Iniesta said, “We have kept things simple so far and we need to continue doing that. We are going in the right direction.”

When asked which team is a threat for Barca, Iniesta said, “Atletico Madrid is the major threat for us at the moment. They have been playing really well since the start of the season and they are definitely the strong contenders to win the title.”

“It’s only November and the season will go till May. So, there is still a long time left. Anything can happen. Any team can suddenly lose the plot. But, the way we are playing at this point of time, it’s really fantastic.”
Cesc Fabregas also hailed Iniesta for his efforts in the match. Fabregas said, “Iniesta was in superb touch. He was unstoppable today. He should be given the maximum credit for this victory. But, the other players have done their job as well.”

Barcelona will play its next match against Alaves on Wednesday.
